My budding inner artist started at a very young age when I was given the job of decorating the primary school class windows and doors with santa scenes. My parents however had other ideas so I was educated into the business world until retirement to Redcliffe around 2005 where I met John Carr at his intro class at the Redcliffe Gallery – so began my journey into watercolour.
I have studied at the workshops of Cheryl Nugent, Barry Kidd, Graham W Smith, Trisha Reust, Pete Pinza and Rex Backhouse Smith. I am inspired by the old masters such as Lowry, Turner and Kandinsky but try to introduce some of those aspects into our Australian landscapes and subjects.
I love exploring original approaches to watercolour sometimes tutoring at Redcliffe Art Studio. Always aspiring to movement and freshness.
